States Landing Beach Dredging to Begin in October
At Saturday's annual States Landing clean up and green up day and community meeting, after a morning of raking and general clean up, Town Administrator Walter Johnson and Recreation Department Director Donna Kuethe provided hamburgers and franks to all the workers and then provided an update and timeline for the long-awaited project.
After years of discussion, planning, permitting and putting money aside, the States Landing project will soon be going full speed.
Dredging of the beach area and rebuilding of the boat ramp as well as storm water mitigation will commence in the fall. If things go as planned, the beach area, boat ramp and new 80' x 8' dock will be ready for traffic in April- May of 2020. All assuming the final NH DES permit is issued soon as expected.
